There is a neoprene pouch for storing the laptop in the centre of the bag, which is secured through a zip. It is lined from the inside with water proof ripstop fabric.  Inside, the bag has 3 slip pockets on one side and the other side has no pockets and is meant to carry papers, magazines. The bag has plenty of room for storing things like pens, memory sticks, power cables etc.
